Race Update: The safety of our runners and volunteers is the number one priority and Town officials from Greenwich and the Greenwich Road Runners have decided to postpone Sunday’s Greenwich Half Marathon until Sunday, October 18th.  We agonized making this decision, but the forecasted high winds and tides gave us little choice. Town officials were concerned about coastal flooding, power outages, downed trees and power lines. Your entry will be automatically moved to the October 18th date.   If you chose not to run you can defer to the 2027 race (please let us know at [email protected] as soon as possible if you are deferring to the 2027 race).  We are very sorry we are not able to host the event on Sunday.    HSS Greenwich Half Marathon Presented by Greenwich Road Runners Sunday, October 18, 2026 | Greenwich Point Park | Old Greenwich, Connecticut The HSS Greenwich Half Marathon at Greenwich Point offers a scenic, fast course along the waterfront with stunning views of Long Island Sound. Schedule: Race Day 6:30am: Packet Pick-Up & Registration 7:30am: Half Marathon Start 8:45-11:00am: Post-Race Snacks & Refreshments 10:15am: Awards Ceremony Early Packet Pick-Up Threads & Treads: 17 E. Putnam Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830 Friday, October 16th from 12:00PM - 5:00PM Course Limits As a courtesy to the communities impacted by the races and the volunteers who serve, there is a 3 hour limit for the Half Marathon. To finish within this time limit, runners must maintain a pace of approximately 13:44 minutes per mile.  Along the Half Marathon race course, roads will reopen to traffic and water/aid stations will close down as the race moves beyond a 13:44 minute per mile pace. Runners running beyond Course Time Limits are doing so at their own risk. Please be prepared and carry fluids and energy gel throughout the race if pace will be slower than 13:44 minute mile.  Race staff will begin breaking down the finish line after course limits. Runners who finish after limits and are not able to collect a finisher medal on site may contact the race office within 48 hours of the event. Pet Policy Dogs are not allowed at Greenwich Point Park during this event, as it takes place during the park’s in-season period. Shirts Sign up now and get your hands on a custom tech shirt!
