Sandpoint Marathon June 4–5, 2027 | War Memorial Field, Sandpoint, Idaho Two days. Four races. One unforgettable weekend on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. The Sandpoint Marathon is more than a race; it's a celebration of running, community, and the start of summer in North Idaho. Headquartered at historic War Memorial Field, Sandpoint's lakeside stadium, the weekend brings together runners of every level, from first-time 5K walkers to seasoned marathoners chasing 26.2 miles of lake, mountain, and small-town scenery. Every course showcases the best of the region: waterfront trails, sweeping views of the Selkirk and Cabinet Mountains, and streets lined with locals ringing cowbells and cheering you home. But the finish line is only the beginning. Anchoring the weekend is the Beginning of Summer festival , a lively festival filling War Memorial Field with local vendors, artisans, food trucks, craft beverages, and live music. Be among the first to see new product launches from Untapped Clothing Company, browse handmade goods from North Idaho makers, and refuel with food from the region's favorite kitchens.
