About the race

The White Lake Pro-Am Half Triathlon is one of the fastest half iron distance triathlons in the United States: a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run on Saturday, May 1, 2027 in White Lake, North Carolina. The race starts and finishes at The Grand Regal at Goldston's Beach, with transition, packet pickup, awards and lodging all in one place. Why race the White Lake Half? Built for a PR: a flat, two-loop 56 mile bike on smooth, speedy roads and a flat, double out-and-back 13.1 mile run with partial shade. The calmest swim you will find: spring-fed White Lake has crystal-clear water, a white sand bottom and no currents, tides or sudden drop-offs, earning it the title "The Nation's Safest Beach." Perfect early season timing: race a fast half iron in early May, then carry that fitness into your summer and fall long course season. Pro-Am racing: amateurs share the course with a professional field racing for prize money. Choose Individual, Relay or AquaBike. A small-town race weekend: lakefront cottages, hotels, camping and RV sites, plus restaurants and water sports, all minutes from the start line. Easy to reach: in Southeastern North Carolina, under an hour from Fayetteville, about 75 minutes from Wilmington and about 90 minutes from Raleigh. A long course tradition since 1998 The White Lake Triathlon has been racing since 1998. Today the White Lake Half is produced by Without Limits and Set Up Events with one goal: a competitive, athlete-centric long course race for amateurs and pros alike. Whether it is your first half iron or your fastest, White Lake is the place to do it. Make it a weekend: the White Lake Spring International and White Lake Spring Sprint triathlons take place Sunday at The Grand Regal at Goldston's Beach, and White Lake hosts the annual White Lake Water Festival the third weekend in May.
