About the race

The Al Lewis 10 Miler is one of Washington's long-standing and traditional road races. This race is named in honor of Al Lewis, a leader of the Health's Angels running club at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In the early years, the race was co-sponsored by NIH Health's Angels and the D.C. Road Runners Club. Race Director(s):  Anna Suhring
