2027 SwimRVA New Year's Challenge

About the race

START 2027 STRONG. 💪🌊 How far can YOU go? The SwimRVA New Year’s Challenge is back.  This challenge is all about YOU. Your distance. Your pace. Your goal. Your challenge. Whether you’re just getting comfortable swimming laps or you could practically cross the English Channel, you belong in this event.  There’s no first place. No last place.  No pressure to keep up with anyone else.  Just one question: CAN YOU REACH YOUR GOAL? THE CHALLENGE 🏊 Pick a goal. Pick your interval. Then start swimming! The New Year’s Challenge is built around repeating 100-yard swims on a set interval. Your interval gives you enough time to complete each 100, catch your breath and get ready to go again.  Maybe your goal is 3 x 100s.  Maybe it’s 25 x 100s.  Maybe you’re coming for the ultimate challenge: 100 x 100s — 10,000 YARDS! The number doesn’t define your success.  Reaching YOUR goal does. Finish 2026 by proving something to yourself — then leave the pool with a new goal waiting for you in 2027.
